Green House Effect

Science says that the average temperature on earth has been rising rapidly. And it says this is the result of growing concentrations of 'greenhouse gases' that are emitted whenever any fuel is burnt to produce energy. Science also says that if something is not done immediately to stop the increase in the concentrations of these gases, there will be catastrophic consequences in the next few decades. Glaciers will melt, sea levels will rise, low-lying areas will be submerged, crops will be damaged, extreme weather events like cyclones and storms will become more frequent. In short, the world will become a difficult place to live in and millions of people may lose their lives.
What's the solution?
Since the problem has been caused by excess GHGs, the solution is to reduce the emission of GHGs.
Simple, isn't it?
Not quite. Industries have to operate, vehicles have to run and people have to use appliances. Developing countries like India need more and more energy to power their industries and increase other economic activities. Developed countries might not need to increase their energy consumption now but their current consumption is already very high. It's a vicious cycle. Development needs more industries and machines, but these lead to increased emissions.
Is there a golden mean?
A middle path has to be found so that emissions can be reduced but not at the cost of development. Excess consumption and wastage of energy has to be prevented. More efficient technologies have to be found. If possible, ways have to be devised to absorb GHGs so that they don't accumulate in the atmosphere. Nature offers such a solution in trees, which absorb carbon dioxide and are therefore very good carbon sinks and are good for reducing GHG concentrations.
So what will the Copenhagen meet do about the problem?
It is expected to come up with an agreement that will make it legally binding for rich and developed countries to reduce their GHG emissions by specific amounts by a certain date, possibly 2020. In fact, such an international agreement already exists. It is called the Kyoto Protocol that makes it mandatory for a group of rich countries to reduce their collective emissions by 5.2 per cent from their 1990 levels by 2012. The Copenhagen meet is expected to fix bigger targets on these countries for a period beyond 2012 and till 2020.
Why should the rich pay more?
Well, it's only fair since they created the problem in the first place. More than 80 per cent of the accumulated GHGs in atmosphere have been emitted by these countries since they were the first ones to industrialise. They continue to emit more: a handful of about 30 rich countries account for nearly half the global emissions. Their average per capita emission is more than twice the world average and at least ten times more than that of India. A lot of it results from wasteful and luxurious consumption of energy.

Things to Worry

I saw a news on the television about the pollar bear and i also want to fully make you aware with all this. This news was about the fact that a committee has asked that the polar bear be placed on the list of animals that are endangered species. With the global warming estimates, scientists are estimating that the polar cap is going to significantly decrease in twenty years, maybe as soon as ten years. One big chunk of an ice field has already detached and fallen into the ocean because of warming. The segment went on to say that after this scenario that Greenland would be melting next and this would cause the ocean level to rise as much as nine meters.
Humans have access to internet and with the help of it we can aware everyone with the good ideas and thoughts and may come with everyones thougths and can share with each other.

Predictions of Destruction for 2012

The year 2012 comes from the Mayan calendar, a complex system that are used together in order to determine events. The Mayan calendar is considered the most accurate calendar developed - its intricate system depicts time in cycles. The cycle relevant to the 2012 date is the Great Cycle at 5125.36 years. December 21, 2012, marks the end of the current 5125.36 year cycle. 2012 also marks the end of a longer 26000 year cycle. It is also the last date accounted for in the Mayan calendar. As a result, 2012 is presumed to be the end - of everything, or everything as we know it.
Among the apocalyptic predictions for 2012 are natural disasters like geomagnetic reversal - one such prediction was attributed to the Celtic shaman Merlin, who said that when people in different countries could speak to each other in a "stone," then the seas and winds would rise and the world's paths would change.
A geomagnetic reversal is actually overdue in terms of the earth's geomagnetic cycle, or which could be caused by a solar flare. There is some debate whether a geomagnetic reversal will affect much more than electromagnetic instruments, however. There is also a prediction that a large planet called Nibiru will collide with Earth at that time. Astronomers refute this claim by saying that any planet that would collide with us so soon would be visible.
The 2012 date also crops up in novelty theory, also called Timewave Zero. Thomas McKenna theorized that interconnectedness, also known as organized complexity, in the universe is determined by an ebb and flow that will culminate to the December 21, 2012, date. At this time, all things possible or conceived will occur at once.
There are end-of-the-world predications from the Hopi Indians and the Cumean Sybil that the 2012 date would end in global catastrophes such as the sun growing unbearably hot, the seas rising, a great war breaking out, ashes covering the sky, and earthquakes adding to the destruction.
The Book of Revelation holds similar imagery for the end of the world, the Last Days during which the world as we know it is finally destroyed to bring about the new utopian millennium.
A prediction attributed to the Mother Shipton, an English oracle, says that when men are able to do things better than anything natural, such as fly faster than birds, when pictures move, when ships move under the sea, then the world will end in blood.
Nostradamus predicted that the October before the 2012 would see the skies turning black before earthquakes, wars and other extreme events. Many end of the world scenarios do envision destruction with this kind of similar language, and the 2012 date or dates close to the end times according to the Mayan calendar seems too coincidental.
Gordon Leon a Survivalist, Futurist & Author stumbled across the 2012 Planet X phenomenon in 2007 while researching abnormal weather patterns around the globe, after much investigation he found the majority of the indigenous people and ancient prophecies such as the Mayans, Hopi Indians, Nostradamus, the Bible, all reaching the same conclusion. There will be significant Earth and climate changes that will affect us all; what was most disturbing to Gordon was the fact that nobody had come up with a plausible solution to these problems, being an accomplished survivalist and futurist he decided to write an engaging two part book on how to survive the coming disasters of 2012.

Report of NASA about the change in Solar System in 2012

NASA recently published report detailing new magnetism on the Sun that will probably result in Major Solar Changes and destruction of satellite communications, GPS, Air Traffic, and Power Grids. The report published clearly states that a new Solar Cycle is possible resulting from a knot of magnetism that popped over the sun's eastern limb on Dec. 11th 2007.The report goes on to mention specific years which major Earthly impact will be seen. The exact quote which mentions these years states"Many forecasters believe Solar Cycle 24 will be big and intense. Peaking in 2011 or 2012, the cycle to come could have significant impacts on telecommunications, air traffic, power grids and GPS systems. (And don't forget the Northern Lights!) In this age of satellites and cell phones, the next solar cycle could make itself felt as never before."I find it quite a coincidence that this major happening is forecasted for 2012, as this exact timing correlates to the ancient Mayan prediction of the end of the dimension. The 2012 (End Of The World) theory has been gaining much popularity the last few years. Some predictions include a great human consciousness awakening, the rise of the anti-christ, alien visitation and attacks, a polar flip, and a great alignment in which the Sun will line up with the center of the galaxy causing massive destruction.Although we are not sure of the exact events that will transpire, the evidence is becoming clear that something is in store for us Earthlings. Many people are starting to prepare both physically and mentally for the upcoming changes, but as of now, trustworthy guides on exact preparation plans are scarce. As this situation winds down, and we get closer to the predicted final year, we can only hope more information becomes available to us. Click HERE for NASA Report

Introduction

Hi Friends,
My name is Gaurav rai and i am working a software engineer in a company at chandigarh. Apart from my work i like to make myself busy in exploring the humanity and things we need to concentrate more to live and save humanity and our planet and as so far i have explored and found, humans are enemies of himselves and we people are doing everthing wrong, giving pains to our planet earth. There will be time when we'll not get time to think even that how much wrong we have done and that time we'll not be able to save our families to survive. There may be some natural reaosns for the destruction and major we all are responsible like global warming. With the help of this blog i want to make awarness to all youth and everyone to gear up and hold the command to do something for their planet and save humanity from completly destruction.
